We are a small and friendly family orientated Target Archery Club situated in Southern Hertfordshire serving Watford, Rickmansworth, Croxley Green and the surrounding areas of Chorleywood, Amersham, Northwood, Stanmore, Pinner and Harrow.
Membership of the Club is open to archers of all ages over a minimum age of 10 years old and requires all applicants to have completed an approved beginner's course.
Our Beginners Courses (held during the spring/summer outdoor shooting months) allow all newcomers to archery to learn the basics of safe shooting and develop the skills that they will require as they progress. Apart from Recurves and Compounds, we also offer all beginners the opportunity of trying out a variety of other more traditional bows (such as Mongolian, Scythian and Longbows) with the exception of Crossbows.
We try to make archery an enjoyable and fun experience for all. Joining us as a Club Member, you will be affiliated to Archery GB, Southern Counties Archery Society and Hertfordshire Archery Association.
If you are an established archer or if you have already completed an approved archery beginner's course, Club Membership is available after an assessment by one of our Club Archery Leaders - this is not a test of shooting skill but an assessment of shooting safety.
The Club offers its members free access to a very comprehensive library which is well stocked with articles, various magazines, informative books, videos and some DVDs that will help beginners.
